At Piltown Engineering, we specialise in the manufacture of stepped tubular and octagonal public lighting columns and masts,
including various associated brackets and pillars. The majority of the products we produce are manufactured from steel sheet
or tube, which are then galvanized to BS EN ISO 1461. Drawings and technical data are available upon request.

We manufacture stepped tubular steel lighting columns for mounting heights from 3 to 10m, these are available in root mounted or flange mounted versions, with either a framed door or wrap around door(wrap around door not acceptable for local authority taking charge over development, however suitable for private developments: carparks, yards, stores, etc.).

Local authorities, ESB, Electrical contractors, Telecom Network specialists, Water Utility companies and developers are just some of the customers we supply. Piltown Engineering manufactures poles to suite various types of traffic beacons including Belisha beacon range. Poles come in a number of finishes; galvanized, painted or powder-coated (Black/White) or with injection-molded protective plastic tubing. Poles are available in various heights with a range of features. Poles are complete with an access door and can be root mounted or flange mounted.

Octagonal columns provide an extreme versatile combination of mounting heights, base types and outreach options making it the most widely used range of columns. We manufacture octagonal (8 sided) tapering sheet steel lighting columns for mounting heights from 3 to 30m, these are available in root mounted, flange mounted or mid hinged versions.
Piltown Engineering designs and manufactures net poles to suit any size pitch and variety of nets. Both root mounted and flange mounted poles are available to suit site conditions. As standard holes for stay wires and lugs for net support are provided.
Multi-sided (12-16-20 sides) lighting column is an elegant option in street lighting columns. Available in a range of mounting heights varying from 3 to 20mt. Multi-sided columns are available root mounted or flange mounted, with either framed or flush-fitting door. Hot dipped galvanized finish as standard and can be powder coated or wet sprayed in a variety of colors.
A variety of outreach, extension or wall brackets and t bars are available to suit our column range. Outreach and extension brackets are available with single or double projection and can be in 4 different diameters: 33mm, 42mm, 48mm or 60mm in various projection sizes ranging from 150mm to 2mt. Brackets are fabricated from tubular steel and galvanized to BS EN 1461. Can be painted or powder coated to match light fitting or column finish. Brackets have 5% uplift as standard, but can be manufactured with a different degree of uplift to customer specifications.
We manufacture net poles and floodlighting masts. Our root mounted and flange mounted masts are suitable for sports lighting, broadband aerials, telecommunication, wind turbines and a range of other applications. We have also recently added a range of base-hinged hydraulically lowered and raised columns to our range. Lowering and raising columns are suitable for pitches with hard to access areas and allow essential maintenance to be carried out at ground level.
