Octagonal columns

Octagonal columns provide extreme versatile combination of mounting heights, base types and outreach options making it the most widely used range of columns. We manufacture octagonal (8 sided) tapering sheet steel lighting columns for mounting heights from 3 to 30m, these are available in root mounted, flange mounted or mid hinged versions. The octagonal column is suitable for post top mounting or a variety of outreach or extension brackets and t bars are available to suit. Choose a bracket with 89mm socket or fitting with a 76mm diameter post top.

Base Compartments

Base Compartments

Standard columns are supplied with a single access opening and fitted within the door compartment. The compartment has a welded in frame with recessed weather strip, with a flat steel door fitted and secured by two triangular headed stainless steel bolts.

Base compartment is large enough to offer easy access to the equipment, which can be mounted on the hardwood baseboard within.

Design

All these Lighting Columns are manufactured and designed in accordance with the requirements of the Department of the Environment and local authorities and where appropriate comply with the NRA Specification. These Lighting Columns will all fully comply with the new European Standard EN40.

Columns are galvanised internally and externally to BS EN 1461. And can be painted to customer specifications.

Bitumen paint is applied internally and externally on the root section of the columns for protection.
